Job Duties Include but are not limited to:

Dispatchers need to be proficient with computers. We use the following programs:
Yard Management Systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and
Microsoft Team's.
Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to overcome day to day issues with trailer movements and other issues that may arise during shift.
Data Entry
Driver Time Management skills is a must to keep Driver Productivity high and Idle Time low.
Good communication skills using 2-way radio, phone, messenger, and email.
Dispatchers are the first people our customers reach out to for moves or issues.
Problem solving skills.
Transportation knowledge preferred.

Summary: Dispatchers keep the drivers moving in an efficient manner, coordinating them to different locations keeping our customers running with no interruptions in service. Dispatchers manage trailer moves, driver lunches, the time that the driver is in truck and will work closely with the Site Manager and Area Manager daily. Dispatchers will work closely with our customers and other 3rd parties to achieve the most efficient and cost-effective service that is possible.
