Summary
The Assistant Site Manager is a member of the Operations team, supporting safe, effective, and efficient yard management operations at a given customer site. This role is responsible for monitoring daily activities of employees and assisting in personnel training. This role will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction for their specific site.
Job Description
Operational Excellence
  1. Support the Site Manager in monitoring performance metrics, identifying process improvements, and assisting with issue resolution that impacts service levels.
  2. Assist in equipment inspections to ensure good working conditions and communicate repair needs to the Site Manager for vendor coordination.
  3. Drive a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  4. Monitor employee adherence to safety standards and report maintenance issues to the Site Manager.
People Development
  1. Assist in training and managing drivers and site-level staff.
  2. Assist in recruitment, hiring, team building, and mentoring of drivers and site-level staff.
Customer & Vendor Relations
  1. Attend customer meetings alongside the Site Manager and help maintain positive customer relationships.
  2. Ensure that all employees provide the highest level of service.
Leadership
  1. Be a leader by example and live our overall purpose and core values. Foster communication, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, innovation and a productive team environment.
  2. Maintain up to date awareness of industry regulations and market trends to ensure compliance requirements and competitive presence/advantage.

Qualifications and Experience
  1. Related field with 1+ year's previous business experience, ideally in supply chain, transportation, or related field. 1-2 years supervisory experience with increasing levels of responsibility is preferred.
  2. CDL License required.
  3. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, E-Plan and Geotab).
  4. Understanding and prevention of critical safety issues.
  5. Exceptional customer service orientation and rapport with customers and associates.
  6. Must be willing to work days, weekends, and be "on call" as needed.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Must be flexible and adaptive to the ever-changing market and Lazer Logistics objectives and goals.
  9. Strong ethical and integrity code.
  10. Ability to collaborate and work well in a fast-paced/dynamic team environment.

Night Dispatcher

Summary:
The Shuttle Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching drivers and ensuring shuttle loads are transported on time and according to the plan. They monitor driver performance and coordinate with other departments to address issues in real time.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Dispatch shuttle drivers according to pre-planned routes and schedules.
  • Monitor driver locations, traffic, and weather to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Provide real-time support to drivers in case of emergencies, breakdowns, or delays.
