Summary:

The Regional Safety Manager is a member of the Field Safety team, responsible for overseeing the transportation safety management process for their assigned region, aligning with organization safety goals and priorities. This role provides will coordinate with regional operations management and the Divisional Safety Director to support short and long-term strategies in building a culture of safety across the region. This role will maintain oversight of regulatory compliance training and provide training for all drivers, clerical staff, and management in the region. This role will conduct audits and inspections of the transportation safety management process and monitor performance metrics to ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements.



Job Description:

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce safety policies, programs, and initiatives across all regional sites to mitigate risk and ensure equipment follows federal and state safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments across multiple sites to monitor safety performance and adherence to OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, and customer requirements.
  • Partner with regional Operations leadership and customers to integrate safety considerations into daily business practices and ensure preventive measures are identified and carried out consistently across the region.
  • Assess fleet readiness across regional locations and inform the Divisional Safety Director of maintenance and repair needs.
Safety Training

  • Ensure regular safety training and mentorship for drivers, clerical staff, and site management is being conducted across all regional sites.
  • Standardize safety training programs across the region, including FMCSA and OSHA compliance, hours of service, drug testing, equipment safety, and Hazmat awareness.
Incident Investigation & Reporting

  • Lead work-related accident and incident investigations across all regional sites, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and identification of corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, vehicle accidents, complaints, and compliance activities across the region, ensuring proper accident reporting to regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain regional safety databases and dashboards to track compliance, incidents, and key metrics, providing regular performance reports with actionable insights to the Divisional Safety Director.
Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership to develop and execute short and long-term safety strategies that drive consistency and continuous improvement across all regional sites.

The Hiring/Staffing Specialist is a member of the Site Operations team, leading frontline recruiting/staffing and

Summary:

The Regional Safety Manager is a member of the Field Safety team, responsible for overseeing the transportation safety management process for their assigned region, aligning with organization safety goals and priorities. This role provides will coordinate with regional operations management and the Divisional Safety Director to support short and long-term strategies in building a culture of safety across the region. This role will maintain oversight of regulatory compliance training and provide training for all drivers, clerical staff, and management in the region. This role will conduct audits and inspections of the transportation safety management process and monitor performance metrics to ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements.



Job Description:

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce safety policies, programs, and initiatives across all regional sites to mitigate risk and ensure equipment follows federal and state safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments across multiple sites to monitor safety performance and adherence to OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, and customer requirements.
  • Partner with regional Operations leadership and customers to integrate safety considerations into daily business practices and ensure preventive measures are identified and carried out consistently across the region.
  • Assess fleet readiness across regional locations and inform the Divisional Safety Director of maintenance and repair needs.
Safety Training

  • Ensure regular safety training and mentorship for drivers, clerical staff, and site management is being conducted across all regional sites.
  • Standardize safety training programs across the region, including FMCSA and OSHA compliance, hours of service, drug testing, equipment safety, and Hazmat awareness.
Incident Investigation & Reporting

  • Lead work-related accident and incident investigations across all regional sites, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and identification of corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, vehicle accidents, complaints, and compliance activities across the region, ensuring proper accident reporting to regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain regional safety databases and dashboards to track compliance, incidents, and key metrics, providing regular performance reports with actionable insights to the Divisional Safety Director.
Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership to develop and execute short and long-term safety strategies that drive consistency and continuous improvement across all regional sites.
