Summary:

This role is responsible for leading multi-site logistics operations with a strong focus on people leadership, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and financial performance. The position requires a results-oriented leader who can coach and develop teams, foster customer partnerships, drive compliance and safety, and deliver innovative solutions to optimize supply chain and yard management operations.

Job Description:
  • People Leadership & Culture: Coach and develop all Lazer Logistics site management teams and supporting roles. Proactively identify and implement best practices to reduce driver turnover and improve employee retention. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and performance excellence in partnership with the on-site Safety team. Build strong relationships with associates at all levels to promote engagement and collaboration.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate and engage with external vendors and internal partners to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds operational and customer expectations. Identify opportunities to improve vendor relationships and cost efficiency in support of business objectives.
  • Customer Success & Satisfaction: Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as a trusted advisor. Provide strategic guidance to customers on business solutions and supply chain optimization. Effectively communicate data, performance insights, and recommendations to customers and key stakeholders. Maintain a strong customer service orientation, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with customer goals.
  • P&L / Financial Oversight: Quickly identify and address P&L issues to improve financial results. Monitor financial performance across sites, balancing safety, service, and profitability. Ensure operational decisions align with both customer and company financial objectives.
  • Operations Management & Improvement: Lead operational assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Develop, execute, and assess continuous improvement initiatives to deploy best practices in yard.

  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer mandates.   • Technology & Systems Integration: Support the integration and adoption of logistics technology platforms and tools to optimize performance. Utilize Microsoft Office and other technology systems to analyze, report, and present data. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology-driven process improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience managing multiple sites or large campuses.
  • 3+ years management experience with Lazer Logistics or 5+ years external management experience in logistics operations, warehouse management, supply chain, or transportation.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in logistics or related fields.
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to analyze P&L and improve results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present data and insights effectively.
  • High customer service orientation with demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing employees, driving organizational change, and fostering a strong culture.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, executive presence, and ownership mindset.
