We are hiring a Gate Clerk in Pine Hill, AL to be the first point of contact for a fast-paced logistics operation. You will play a key role in keeping freight flowing safely and efficiently while supporting drivers, carriers, and on-site teams.

What you will do

Manage daily gate operations
Check in and out inbound and outbound trailers
Verify equipment and complete audits and inspections
Track and report activity accurately
Support communication and data entry using Excel, Outlook, and Word

Job Duties and Qualifications

What You'll Do

Support daily gate and yard operations in a fast-paced environment
Identify, troubleshoot, and report trailer or operational issues to site leadership
Conduct daily yard audits, inspections, and reconcile trailer inventory in all weather conditions
Track daily production numbers and enter data accurately into reporting spreadsheets
Maintain and verify daily staffing sheets based on site schedules
Assist with tracking equipment maintenance and repairs, partnering with leadership and safety teams
Review and ensure accuracy of bills and invoices within the Fleet Management System
Process and organize Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
Take on additional tasks as needed to support smooth site operations

What You Bring

Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a company vehicle when needed
Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Basic working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Word, or Teams
Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively in a fast-moving environment
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking for extended periods, opening and closing trailer doors, and lifting 50+ pounds
