Senior Technical Lead

Job Description

Summary:
This role is ideal for someone who excels at solving complex problems, thinks critically, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. As a Senior Technical Lead, you will drive the development of modern, cloud-native applications using .NET Core, Azure, microservices, PostgreSQL/SQL databases, and Angular. You will help to lead the overall technical direction of our full-stack development teams and manage a small team of software and quality engineers, ensuring high-quality software delivery with modern DevOps practices, including DORA metrics for performance optimization. This role is hands-on and actively contributes to coding while driving technical direction.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical guidance and expertise to development teams responsible for full-stack development.
Lead and mentor a team of developers and quality engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Firsthand software development with architecture and high-level design.
Providing technical direction and mentorship with direct reports.
Collaborating with product and engineering managers.
Design and develop scalable, cloud-native microservices using .NET Core in Azure.
Guide and contribute to Angular development for modern, responsive web applications.
Design and optimize relational databases using PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
Utilize Azure Service Bus for messaging and distributed system communication.
Utilize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to deploy and orchestrate containerized applications.
Apply modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and observability.
Monitor and improve DORA metrics (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, Mean Time to Recovery).
Work closely with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to align technology with business goals.
Drive Agile methodologies and continuous delivery to enhance development efficiency.

Strong expertise in .NET Core and microservices architecture.
Experience leading development teams and mentoring developers.
Expertise in Azure services, including Azure Service Bus and Azure Container Service (AKS).
Proficiency in Angular for front-end development.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
Understanding of DORA metrics and modern DevOps practices.
Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated deployments.
Strong understanding of observability, logging, and monitoring in cloud applications.

Qualifications and Experience:

10+ years leading development teams, mentoring developers, and driving architectural decisions.
10+ years of experience in software development, specializing in .NET Core and microservices.

Knowledge of Azure native services, including Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with event-driven architecture.
Experience managing enterprise-wide integration practices.
Ability to design, document, and communicate technological best practices within the industry.
