Summary
The Associate, Corporate Development & Strategy will support mission-critical projects across M&A, FP&A, and strategic initiatives. This highly analytical role will play a key part in financial modeling, due diligence, post- close integration reporting, and business case development. The individual will work cross-functionally with corporate development, FP&A, commercial strategy, finance, legal, and operations teams to drive deal execution, integration, and go-to-market initiatives. Success requires a strong technical foundation in financial analysis and modeling, paired with excellent project coordination and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
M&A
Support cross-functional due diligence by gathering inputs from Finance, FP&A, Legal, Operations, and other functional leaders.
Perform financial modeling, valuation, and sensitivity analysis to evaluate potential acquisitions.
Assist in preparing investment committee materials and executive-level presentations.
Partner with FP&A to track post-close results, cost of growth metrics, and synergy realization.
Contribute to integration planning and ongoing performance monitoring.
Executive & Strategic Projects
Support the development of business cases for strategic initiatives, including ROI modeling and scenario analysis.
Partner with Commercial, Finance, and Operations to evaluate pricing, customer segmentation, and margin opportunities.
Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to identify growth opportunities.
Provide ad hoc analysis, presentations, and structured memos in support of executive leadership.
Project Management Office
Use Lazer's PMO Tool to maintain project trackers, timelines, and resource allocations.
Coordinate deliverables and dependencies across corporate development, FP&A, commercial, legal, and operations teams.
Contribute to defining and tracking KPIs and success metrics for major initiatives.
Prepare clear reporting packages on project status, risks, and financial impacts for senior leadership.
Support change management by documenting scope adjustments and identifying risks. Pay Range: - , General Benefits:
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, Accounting, or related field.
1-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, FP&A, or corporate development.
Proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis required.
Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into clear recommendations for leadership.
Familiarity with Power BI a plus.
Demonstrated success supporting cross-functional projects.
Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
Structured problem-solver with high attention to detail.
Strong business acumen, ethical integrity, and entrepreneurial mindset.
