Job Description

Summary:
This position will provide support to the Regional Manager and Regional Director while responsible for the personnel leadership, training, and overall operational safety of the team in addition to providing excellent customer service.

Job Description:
Provide feedback to the Regional Manager and Regional Director.
Ensure employees are held accountable for their safety standards and resolve maintenance issues.
Monitor performance metrics, develop process improvements, and resolve issues that impact service levels.
Attend customer meetings and build relationships with that customer.
Coordinate logistics activities with internal/external customers.
Ensure that all employees provide the highest level of service.
Ensure equipment is in good working conditions and coordinate repairs with vendors. Pay Range: 72000.00-80000.00 per_year, General Benefits:

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must have leadership skills to include recruiting, hiring, team building, coaching and mentoring skills while training new drivers & retraining veteran drivers.
  • Must have good communication & willingness to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Understanding and prevention of critical safety issues
  • Detailed oriented, organized and the ability to multi-task.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, E-Plan and Geotab)
  • Related field with 1+ year's previous business experience, ideally in supply chain, transportation, or related field with 1-2 years supervisory experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to devote hours necessary to complete task at hand.
  • CDL A License required.

General Manager

Summary:
The General Manager has direct responsibility over employees at the assigned Site. Duties include, but are not limited to, P&L responsibility and partnering with Corporate Safety, Fleet, HR, and Accounting Officers to ensure that operations meet internal and external standards. The ideal candidate will have senior-level logistics experience, commitment to excellence, and a bias for action.

Job Description
  • Coach and develop all Lazer Logistics Site Management, Leads, Drivers, and applicable Admin, Clerk and Dispatch positions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Conduct business unit assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
  • Lead safety performance by developing and promoting procedures and campaigns to eliminate and prevent hazardous behaviors, in conjunction with the on-site Lazer Logistics Safety team.
  • Proactively identify best practices to reduce driver turnover and ensure that the management team builds strong relationships to improve retention.
  • Utilize available metrics to monitor and maximize customer deliverables and productivity.
  • Develop, execute, and assess continuous improvement programs to ensure that Lazer Logistics deploys best practices in yard management solutions.
  • Conduct periodic 1:1s, goal setting and performance reviews.
