    Energy and Sustainability Manager

    Summary:
    The Energy and Sustainability Manager will be responsible for collaborating across the organization to transform the way we procure and manage energy (primarily traditional and alternative transportation fuels), leading sustainability activities and projects (carbon accounting, etc), and playing a key role in the expansion of our electric vehicle (EV) service offering. The Energy and Sustainability Manager will also engage with various external stakeholders (customers, vendors, grant programs, regulatory agencies, and others) to conduct research, communicate unique solutions, manage projects, evaluate goods and services, and promote our energy saving and sustainability efforts.

    Job Description:
    • Own our EPA Smartway initiative (including internal coordination and reporting) and serve as external liaison.
    • Lead all fleet related energy (fuel) management and procurement (direct and indirect).
    • Lead energy vendor management (diesel, DEF, drop-in, and alternative fuels).
    • Ensure accurate energy data acquisition and pass-through to customers through extensive on-going analysis, reporting, and process development (SOPs and MOPs).
    • Develop and continuously improve energy reporting in support of commercial, financial, and sustainability objectives.
    • Lead EV program energy analysis and reporting.
    • Primary owner of carbon accounting program to include cross-functional carbon accounting process development and on-going refinement.
    • Sustainability data analysis and reporting.
    • Support the commercial organization through customer sustainability research, energy consumption/emissions reduction analyses, electric infrastructure scoping and analysis, and business case/proposal development.
    • Support EV program generally through business case development, data analysis (including telematics), reporting, OEM management, and other activities as assigned by the EV Director.
    • Support EV grant program through research, application development, award management, and post-deployment activities management (reporting, surveys, etc).
    • Engage in regulatory management through rule/regime identification (research) and analysis. This includes U.S., Canadian, EU, and global sustainability-oriented regulations. Author white papers, executive summaries, internal and external facing presentations, and business cases.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide advice/guidance on best practices, policies, and standards related to energy management.
    • Identify and address issues and risks and partner with appropriate stakeholders to resolve.
    • Some travel will be required (less than 25%).
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Energy Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, STEM fields, Program Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, or Transportation Management).
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • CAPM, PMP, and/or PgMP certification preferred.
    • Must have significant experience with heavy duty transportation fuel management and procurement (primarily diesel and DEF).(Preferred) Experience managing, or serving, large fleet(s) - especially Class 8 trucks.(Preferred) Experience with alternative fuels such as CNG and drop-in fuels.(Preferred) Level 2 and Level 3/DCFC charging infrastructure.Experience managing sustainability initiatives, projects, or programs. (Preferred) Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon accounting projects.
    • Experience researching and engaging regulatory regimes. (Preferred) Low carbon fuel standard (LCFS), Cap and Trade, carbon credits, Advanced Clean Fleets rule, WAIRE/ISR, etc. Non-attainment areas (air quality).
    • Experience researching, applying for, and managing grants.
    • (Preferred) DERA, VW Mitigation Trust, California CORE and HVIP, NEVI, etc.
    • Lifelong learner mindset.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Strong data analysis and management experience.
    • Bias towards data driven decision making.
    • Process development and management experience with continuous process improvement orientation. (Preferred) Experience writing, revising, and implementing MOPs and SOPs.

    Region Fleet Services Specialist

    Summary:
    The Region Fleet Services Administrator role has been introduced to provide pivotal operational-administrative support to Region Fleet Managers (RFMs). The aim is to alleviate RFMs from extensive administrative duties, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives such as site visits, vendor collaborations, customer engagement, asset audits, and driving substantial cost reductions. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating annual cost savings within the first year by enhancing PM quality, providing guidance to Site Managers, optimizing fleet operations at the site level, negotiating with local vendors, and improving parts cost management.

    Job Description:
    Administrative Support:
    • Assume a substantial portion of the administrative tasks currently managed by RFMs.
    Tire Management:
    • Review and approve Bridgestone USA tire estimates on a daily basis.
    Repair Estimates:
    • Review and approve repair estimates received from Operations teams and fleet vendors.
    Data Analysis:
    • Collaborate with the Finance team to generate actionable data analysis supporting cost efficiency initiatives.
    Optimization:
    • Work cross-departmentally to assist in optimizing fleet operations at the site level.
    Fleet Performance:
    • Utilize telematics systems, fleet management software, and other technologies to monitor and optimize fleet performance.
    • Monitor severe fault codes using TripVision and communicate with the RFM's and Operations team to find quality and timely resolution.
    Rental Cost Management:
    • Support RFMs and Operations teams in minimizing rental costs within the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
    Recalls and Campaigns:
    • Assist in managing product recalls and campaigns for the fleet, ensuring timely compliance and necessary actions are taken.
    Purchase Order (PO) Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to the new purchase order process by site and operations managers within the AOR.
    • Assist with ordering parts from our primary suppliers and provide shipping instructions from our site managers.
    Cost Efficiency Management:
    • Identify high-cost and high-hour equipment for replacement or refurbishment, contributing to overall cost-efficiency measures.
    Fleet Maintenance Software:
    • Help implement, manage, and train FleetRock software.
    Warranty Recovery:
    • Assist the Warranty Director, and RFM in capturing warranty. Identify Warranty within the FMS and work with Vendors to ensure warranty dollars are captured.
    Equipment Moves:
    • Assist in all aspects of equipment moves. Complete Change Orders, and work with the RFM and Ops, coordinating equipment moves.
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data analysis and reporting tools.
